Ho Ho Ho my Cardinal friends,

The Netballers are putting on a partAy and we should all get involved.  Summer is coming and there is no better time for us to get to know the girls better so we can all have a more fun time next year as a really integrated club.

Cassie, Anna and the crew are going to all the girls on board and Pizz, Fez and I are going hassle you all till we get a good number there.

There is going to be a Kris Kringle so you should all head down to Uncle Bucks for the sweet $2-$5 action and get something useful or funny.

If you do, then you’ll be hanging out at Club 3121 – Kevin Bartlet Reserve, this week.

Thursday night at the clubrooms, there will be heaps of players, wives, past players, council, celebrities, and may be puppa smurf.

Everyone will be there. and if you’re not, then it will be everyone but you.

There will be a maquee kicking around and the club will be action packed on sat and sunday. even if we lose.

So if you’re thinking, ‘stuff it’ for Thursday (you slackers) then at least drop by at some point over the weekend.

6:00pm Glenferrie Hotel. Hired the place out (or at least a large section)

near the corner of Glenferrie Rd and Burwood Rd.

This week we are holding the Cardinals B&F.

Details are:

Where: Heores Club, Toorak RSL 72 Clendon Rd, Toorak

Time: Sat, 13 Aug 2pm Start

Entry: $20

Dress: No Thongs, singlets or shorts. Jeans are fine!

Obviously all of you players will be coming but invite you wives, girlfriends, mums, dads, family and friends in what is always a great day. We need to know how many are coming so please respond to me (or post a comment here) as soon as possible who is coming.

Just a reminder that training is on tonight at KB Reserve at 6.30pm.  After training, we will be having the Cardinals Poker Tournament.

Those interested in playing the buy in is $20 which includes your dinner.Winner takes all.

See you all tonight for training and to smash you in Poker.

The inside word is that the ball has 180 people signed up and potentially more to come as people start locking themselves in for the big event. This is going to be a great night.

The cardinals have 2 or 3 tables and the netball teams have 2 as well (Cassie 1 table and Penny 1 too).

You need to pay to ensure your spot. There are no payments on the night.  If you don’t have a credit card then you can pay me (dub) and ill put your ticket on my credit card.

HOW DO I GET A TICKET?
If you haven’t got a ticket and want 1,2 or 5 then you need to let Pizz or I know asap. You can also ask Ron if you see him around. I know tables are going fast and so you’ll need to let us know by training on Wednesday.

Fellas, let your mates and girlfriends know we have the $5 full strength cocktails, skittle bombs and jager bombs on tomorrow, P-ziz and Starke are manning the bar and will be ensuring everybody has a great night. After the karaoke has finished we have a professional DJ pumping out dance-floor filling party tunes. Get ready for a big night!

You might have heard him boast about his days at the famous Supa Club, or how he revolutionised the bar at The Grand.  I don’t buy it for a second but he swears by it. Well now our very own Jayme Starke is going to be mixing it up and orchestrating the cocktail list for the big Back to School night.

Thats right. Starke, with the assistance of the Social Committee, has put together a list of cocktails that will get even the biggest beer hungry bogans having a sip.  He has mixed at some of the finest locations in Australia and will tell you of stories where he went from zero to hero with a few shakes and a muddle.

There will be plenty of class in the cocktails and if you bring down a girl and shout her a few cocktails you are sure to get some lovin.  They say diamonds are the way to a girls heart. well, that might be true, but cocktails are the way to other parts of a girl. Often more sought after and desireable.

Don’t miss this night. Everyone who matters will be there and for those who do a no-show will be severely abused and taunted unless you have a serious excuse.

The cocktail night is upon us and it will no doubt be a great night full of cheap cocktails and alcohol. We all love to get dressed up and whether you go as a teacher, a geek, a schoolies trash bag or a jock, it is sure to be a great night.

It is important we all get down there and support the first social night of the year. It is more important that you get a couple of mates or your girlfriend down. I am bringing my girlfriend and a friend of hers.  If I can do it, then all of you can.

Who doesn’t like seeing girls in school gear. There is beauty in youth and my two ring-ins are going all out with the gear.  I expect everyone to rope a girlfriend or mate down. Temp them in with the $5 cocktails, free food and a great cause.

Let show the rest of the club how the clubbies party – ALL NIGHT LONG!
